City of Hope (COH) seeks an extraordinary leader for the position of Chief Financial Officer.
COH is rapidly expanding its research and academic enterprise, and the range and reach of its clinical service program – annual revenues were $1.9 billion in the most recent fiscal year, and COH expects to grow at a significant pace for the foreseeable future.
For the senior position of Chief Financial Officer, COH seeks an experienced financial executive with keen analytic and strategic skills, the capability to work effectively at the most senior level of the organization, develop creative approaches to financial operating and strategic opportunities, the ability to assist in formulating and updating the organization’s strategic plan, and the passion to fulfill City of Hope’s mission.
As a key strategic leader of the organization, the CFO will blend strategic finance with COH’s commitment to care and caring, develop sophisticated financial approaches/techniques to support research and clinical care, and support new initiatives including strategic alliances, acquisitions, and joint ventures. The new CFO must have a strong grasp on large-scale system approaches and lead teams across diverse functional areas.
The new CFO should have in-depth knowledge and experience with strategic business development, executive-level payer relations, and healthcare services. Most importantly, the CFO must embrace and embody the COH culture of understanding that patients come to COH for care not just treatment, focusing on the greater good of serving humanity rather than furthering individual interests, and treating each individual entrusted to our care with dignity and respect.
The new CFO will report to COH’s President/CEO, serve on the CEO Council and Executive Leadership Team, and enjoy working with a leadership team dedicated to the mission of patient care and service, research, success of the entire enterprise, and respect for and mutuality with one another.
