Director System Business Development – PSH Strategic Planning

Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and indirectly to the COO/CFO, support the development and implementation of Penn State Health’s strategic plan and leads the strategic business development activities including key growth initiatives. Identify, evaluate, and implement new business opportunities (placement of facilities and services, new markets, new products/services and potential merger, acquisition, or affiliation opportunities) that are consistent with the mission, vision, and strategic goals of PSH. Work closely with PSH and PSHMC finance departments in supporting strategic and other planning activities. Work collaboratively with PSH and PSHMC operating functions and other resources to facilitate due diligence, transaction execution and post-transaction integration of acquired and affiliated entities. Undertake special projects and studies as assigned by Chief Strategy Officer.
Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s in Health Administration (MHA) required
10 years of experience Business Development & Strategy Formulation and Execution required
Must have experience in Physician Practice Mergers & Acquisitions
Healthcare Provider experience required
Valuation and practice assessment capability a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Written & oral communication skills
Familiarity with project management techniques
Strong relationship management skills
Complex situational and strategic analysis
Moderate Financial analytics
Long-range decision impact along several dimensions, including relational impact, clinical performance impact, operational impact and financial impact
