The VA Medical Center, Albany, New York is seeking full-time Board Certified or Board Eligible Ophthalmologist to join our growing Ophthalmology Department. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, experienced and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Responsibilities include the provision of direct, comprehensive clinical and surgical ophthalmological care, ordering of diagnostic studies and procedures, and participation in night and weekend on-call coverage. This position provides support to the eye clinic, inpatient services, eye operating room and the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will possess fellowship training in cornea, glaucoma or retina but is not necessary. The VA Medical Center is a tertiary care teaching facility affiliated with Albany Medical College. The successful candidate must be eligible for appointment to the faculty at Albany Medical College at a level commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM OR days and 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM on Clinic days
