The Sinai Medical Group (SMG) Director of Physician Recruitment leads the recruitment effort to ensure SMG has well qualified providers to fulfill its strategic directive of providing specialty care to patients within the Sinai Health System service area.
Participating in the evaluation of primary and specialty care needs within the Sinai Medical Group (SMG)
Developing an effective recruitment plan to attract and retain qualified and high-caliber candidates
Proactively communicate the plan and process to key stakeholders
Engaging with Human Resources, as appropriate
Educating the compensation planning process
Develop, implement, and facilitation of a provider-specific Orientation Program that will yield success in orienting new providers to resources, referral management and key information about SMG and Sinai Health System (SHS).
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, marketing, public relations, or communications.
Recruiter is required to maintain a valid driver's license and personal vehicle as travel to practice sites is required.
Demonstrated track record of successful physician recruitment in a competitive environment coupled with retention of those physicians hired.
Minimum of 5 years recruiting in general and 3 years physician recruiting is required.
Strong public relations experience and/or certification in Human Resources (PHR or SPHR) preferred.
Flexibility to schedule interviews and meetings in the early morning and evenings, as needed, is required
Dynamic and engaging personality with strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.
Knowledge of marketing principles.
Ability to balance provider and hospital needs while remaining poised and assertive; knowledge of physician practice structure.
Projects a professional image.
Ability to interact and effectively communicate with clinical providers and staff of various levels.
Strong understanding of the New England physician marketplace, preferably community-based physicians.
Ability to apply marketing/public relations techniques to present practice opportunities in a positive manner.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Possess current knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including Affirmative Action requirements.
A high energy level and demonstrated ability to work as a team with flexibility in work habits to schedule and meet the needs of the client.
