The Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. We are looking for a candidate who will complement our faculty ( http://www.mbg.jhmi.edu ) working on mechanistic approaches to fundamental problems in biology. We are primarily seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor position, however outstanding candidates at other levels will also be considered. As a department committed to diversity, we actively encourage applications from minorities and women. About Molecular Biology & Genetics, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine
Since its establishment in 1972, the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is focused on developing and nurturing leaders in fundamental, curiosity-driven science who make ground breaking discoveries that are the basis for new approaches in medicine. Research in the Department covers a broad range of basic topics in biology. One theme that... unites us is that we study underlying cellular processes by using multiple methods including genetics, biochemistry, cell biology and molecular biology to approach and understand our areas of study from multiple angles.
