Provide leadership and management to the clinical staff, front/back office,laboratory staff, billing contractor and offsite staff . Problem solve and address issues and concerns of patients, physicians and employees.
Manage Medical Billing efforts (to include CPT coding, denials, unbilled, and over billing),and AR/AP productivity (charges, payments, collections, adjustments);liaison to exchange information to all third parties, i.e. insurance payors, IPA, managed care companies etc. Ensure appropriate medical coding /documentation to maximize reimbursement.
Review work performed by outside vendors for accuracy and production. Develop and monitor billing efforts to ensure outcomes are achieve to reduce/resolve identifying trends. Analyze reports to determine when, how and why decreases exist.
Professionally interact with payor and patients to resolve questions and concerns; Provide training and mentoring to staff; ensure standard operating procedures (SOP) are followed and improvements occur. · Stay current with company’s policies and procedures.
Three to five years' experience in a similar position of responsibility.,
Experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology and/or Reproductive Endocrinology at any level of management and non-management positions a plus.
Broad knowledge and direct experience with billing, collections, and insurance verification and operation.
Business Accounting and knowledge of QuickBooks.
Knowledge of computer hardware, software and applications, eIVF a plus.
