The Modular Development function plays an essential role in improving the partnership with the customer by optimizing the category team’s use of modular development tools to drive efficiency in modular analysis and design. The role will work collaboratively with Category Managers, Shopper Insights, and U.S. Headquarter Shopper/Category Teams, and IT partners to achieve key objectives. Responsibilities: Develop, leverage, and share tools, processes, and standard methodologies to improve efficiency and accuracy of modular process for entire category team. Ongoing focus on uncovering and maximizing tools and technology to ensure category team stays on the cutting edge of category management trends. Assist in developing strategic and tactical insights recommendations to capitalize on Shelving and Merchandising opportunities to improve category performance. Influence and execute the modular activation of merchandising improvements, efficient assortment, and clustering solutions. Uncover business opportunities with deep-dive analytics using various resources including, but not limited to: POS/Retail Link, Syndicated Data, Marketplace & HH Panel Assessments, and Assortment Efficiency metrics. Work with category management teams to aid with drawing modular to bring category strategies and tactics to life at shelf during key modular relays, as needed.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required Minimum of 3 years of business experience with at least 1 in sales, sales/category analytics or category management in a CPG environment is required. Prior experience working with Walmart preferred. Previous experience with POS and/or syndicated data required Experience with Space Planning software (JDA, Apollo) required Experience with Space Planning scripting/coding (JDA/Apollo) strongly preferred Ability to independently organize and complete assigned work Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, complex matrix, changing environment Ability to access, assess, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from sales and customer data Ability to create impactful presentations to explain recommendations and findings of studies Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite applications, database information sources and web applications This position will be located in Bentonville-Rogers, Arkansas.
