Manager of Patient Scheduling Northern Region Aspirus, Inc.
Aspirus is a non-for-profit, nationally recognized health system based in Wausau which is located in the center of Wisconsin. Our health system and service area extends from beautiful central and northern Wisconsin into the majestic lake shore regions of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We have 8 hospitals and over 55 primary care/specialty clinics. We are seeking an experienced healthcare leader in our Revenue Cycle department.
The Manager of Patient Scheduling will support our northern region including the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This will require travel between the northern facilities and our headquarters in Wausau, Wisconsin. This individual may live in/near any one of these locations: Rhinelander or Merrill, Iron River, Ironwood, Houghton or Laurium.
In order to achieve successful strategic and operational goals, this role will be accountable for:
Planning, directing and coordinating the activities of scheduling and referrals for the hospital and clinics.
Improving the patient experience, enhancing patient throughput, improving the revenue cycle through standardization and ensuring the clinic/department is operating within respective rules and regulations.
Maintaining and leading competent and highly trained staff to ensure a high level of accuracy.
Serving as a resource to other departments, physicians, clinic and hospital Leadership, and patients as needed.
Associate's Degree in related field preferred. Bachelor's Degree highly desired.
Two to three years of management experience in a health care setting necessary to develop administrative skills, including work experience in the field of Patient Access.
Experience with information technology systems used in the Patient Access areas.
Knowledge of health system scheduling practices normally acquired through previous experience.
Understanding of general business concepts and regulatory environment, especially those affecting the Patient Access areas.
Possess a high level of resourcefulness, innovation, and interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
Ability to collaborate including building, leading, motivating and coordinate activities of a cross-functional and/or multi-corporate team.
Strong people management skills to direct work of and motivate assigned staff.
