Withpositions available at the Ernest Childers Outpatient Clinic in Tulsa, OK as well as at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center in Muskogee, OK.The incumbent will work as a member of a disciplinary mental health care team collaborating with other services as needed to provide mental health care to veterans enrolled in the VA Health Care System. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for completing psychiatric evaluations and comprehensive consultations on new clinic referrals, and follow-up and management of all psychiatric disorders
Autonomous responsibility for patients with a wide range of complex psychosocial concerns (must be well versed in a variety of treatment modalities)
Coordinates care for patients to assure the care is timely, appropriate, high quality, and cost effective
Provides professional assessment, coordination, and planning of all mental health disorders
Prescribes interventions of treatments which may include the prescriptions of medications
Provides diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions / diseases

Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
