Project Manager for Clinical Planning and Network Operations

Overview

Located in Boston and the surrounding communities, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute brings together world renowned clinicians, innovative researchers and dedicated professionals, allies in the common mission of conquering cancer, HIV/AIDS and related diseases. Combining extremely talented people with the best technologies in a genuinely positive environment, we provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients of all ages; we conduct research that advances treatment; we educate tomorrow's physician/researchers; we reach out to underserved members of our community; and we work with amazing partners, including other Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals.

In addition to our Longwood Medical Area-based services, Dana-Farber’s patients can access our care and resources in their local community through our licensed satellite centers. The CPBD department provides business planning, clinical planning, growth planning, project management, and operations support to the Institute, its community affiliates, and its strategic growth initiatives.

  • The Clinical Planning and Project Management team within CPBD provides structure to large-scale Longwood clinical growth initiatives and new business relationships including satellite clinics and collaborative affiliates.
  • The Project Manager reports to the Senior Director of Clinical Planning and Project Management in CPBD.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (including nursing, operations, revenue cycle, IT, pharmacy, and others) to inform clinical planning processes
  • Develop project work plans and status dashboards, and manage key tasks/sections within the work plan, coordinating with other departments and identifying/mitigating potential risks and issues
  • Populate and maintain project documents; e.g., status reports and dashboards, issue and decision logs, and timelines
  • Schedule and facilitate project-related workgroups, record action items and track completion status
  • Complete quantitative and qualitative analyses to support the objectives of assigned projects
  • Develop clear and effective meeting materials (e.g., agendas, presentations, etc.) and other written materials
  • Develop presentations/project collateral and present updates, findings, and recommendations to leaders and associates at all levels of the Institute
  • Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with leaders across the organization
  • Utilize, and continue to improve and refine, a standard set of clinical project management tools
  • Actively contribute to CPBD staff development and internal departmental process improvement
